Jennifer’s wedding day was getting closer, and she was incredibly excited.
Despite her parents’ divorce, she hoped everyone could put their differences aside and enjoy the celebration.
Her mother had found the perfect dress and was proudly preparing to wear it.
A few days before the wedding, Jennifer’s father called her.
“I’ve heard your mother bought a beautiful dress,” he said.
“Yes,” Jennifer replied. “She’s very excited about it.”
Her father paused.
“Well, I hope she doesn’t wear white.”
Jennifer laughed.
“Dad, don’t worry. She knows I’m the bride!”
On the wedding day, Jennifer walked into the room and saw her mother wearing a beautiful outfit.
She looked elegant and happy.
Her father smiled and whispered to Jennifer,
“She looks wonderful.”
Jennifer nodded.
“She does.”
For a moment, the family forgot about the arguments and divorce.
Everyone was simply there to celebrate Jennifer.
Later that evening, Jennifer’s mother and father even shared a brief conversation and a smile.
Jennifer looked at them and thought,
“Maybe weddings really can bring people together.”
Her mother noticed her smiling.
“What are you thinking?”
Jennifer hugged her.
“I’m just happy you’re both here.”
Her mother smiled.
“That’s all that matters.”
And for Jennifer, that was the most beautiful part of her wedding day.
