The Sons in Jerusalem

Two American fathers sent their sons to Jerusalem to learn more about their heritage and culture.

A year later, the two fathers met for coffee.

One father sighed.

“I’m so disappointed in my son. I sent him to Jerusalem to learn about our traditions, but when he came home, he told me he had discovered a new faith.”

The second father looked surprised.

“That’s strange. My son told me almost exactly the same thing!”

They sat quietly for a moment.

The first father shook his head.

“I suppose we should have expected something like this.”

The second father nodded.

“Perhaps.”

Then they both looked at each other and laughed.

“Maybe we should have sent them somewhere less educational!”
