One sunny day, a fly was relaxing on the handle of a lawnmower, enjoying the warm sunshine.
Suddenly, a little boy ran outside while eating a bologna sandwich.
As he passed by, a small piece of bologna fell onto the sidewalk near the lawnmower.
The fly spotted the tasty piece of food and immediately flew down.
“What luck!” the fly thought.
He landed on the bologna and began eating.
Just then, another fly flew over.
“Hey! What are you doing?” he asked.
“Having lunch,” replied the first fly proudly.
The second fly looked at the lawnmower.
“Be careful. That’s a dangerous place to eat.”
“Don’t worry,” said the first fly. “I’ve been around lawnmowers before.”
Suddenly, the little boy returned.
He picked up the lawnmower and started it.
The fly heard the engine roar.
“OH NO!” he shouted.
He quickly flew away.
The second fly laughed.
“I told you it was dangerous!”
The first fly landed safely on a nearby fence.
He looked back at the lawnmower and sighed.
“I guess that’s why they call it a fly mower!”
