Workers from the local highways department noticed an unusual number of crows gathered near a busy road. Curious about the situation, they asked a wildlife expert to investigate.
After observing the birds for several days, the expert smiled and shared his findings.
“There is no mystery,” he said. “The crows aren’t sick at all.”
The workers looked puzzled.
“So why are they always gathered here?”
The expert pointed toward a nearby field.
“They’ve discovered that passing cars stir up insects and seeds along the roadside. They’ve learned that it’s an easy place to find food.”
One worker laughed.
“So they’re smarter than we thought.”
The expert nodded.
“Crows are excellent problem-solvers. They watch, learn, and adapt much faster than many people realize.”
Just then, one crow landed on a fence and gave a loud caw, as if it had overheard the conversation.
Another worker joked, “I think he’s reminding us who’s really in charge around here.”
Everyone laughed as the flock took off together, proving once again that nature is full of surprising intelligence.
