A man was driving along a country road in his truck when the engine suddenly coughed, spluttered, and died.
He pulled over beside a large paddock, climbed out, and lifted the hood.
He stared at the engine, completely confused.
After several minutes, he still couldn’t figure out what was wrong.
Suddenly, a cow standing in the paddock called out, “It’s the fuel pump!”
The man nearly jumped out of his boots.
He looked around, but there was nobody nearby.
Then the cow repeated, “I said it’s the fuel pump!”
The man stared at the cow in disbelief.
“You can talk?”
The cow nodded.
“Of course.”
The man quickly ran to a nearby farmhouse and told the farmer what had happened.
“Your cow just diagnosed my truck!”
The farmer shook his head.
“Don’t listen to her.”
The man looked relieved.
“You don’t believe me?”
“Oh, I believe you,” the farmer replied. “But that cow knows nothing about engines.”
The man asked, “Then how did she know what was wrong?”
The farmer pointed toward another cow in the paddock.
“Because that one is the mechanic.”
The man looked at the two cows and burst out laughing.
“Why didn’t you just tell me that?”
The farmer shrugged.
“She’s the one who talks. The mechanic just fixes things.”
