A crowded city at a busy bus stop, a beautiful young woman wearing a tight leather skirt was waiting for a bus.
As the bus stopped and it was her turn to get on, she became aware that her skirt was a little too tight to climb the steps comfortably.
She carefully lifted one leg onto the first step.
Then she felt her skirt pull tighter.
She reached behind and quietly pulled the skirt down a little.
She tried the second step.
Again, the skirt tightened.
She pulled it down once more.
A gentleman standing behind her smiled politely.
She tried the third step and once again pulled her skirt down.
Finally, she turned around and whispered,
“Sir, could you please stop staring?”
The man looked surprised.
“I’m sorry,” he replied. “But I wasn’t staring at you.”
“Then what were you looking at?”
He pointed toward the bus.
“I’m watching the bus driver. He’s been waiting for you to get on for five minutes!”
The woman looked toward the driver.
He was laughing so hard that he could barely keep his hands on the steering wheel.
She quickly climbed aboard.
The gentleman followed her and smiled.
“Don’t worry,” he said. “At least you gave everyone at the bus stop a good laugh.”
She shook her head and laughed.
“I guess I’ll wear a less complicated outfit next time.”
The driver called out,
“Please do! We’re already running late!”
