Einstein’s Train Ticket Trouble!

Professor Einstein, bless his brilliant but absent-minded soul, was heading to a physics conference in Bern. He stood on the platform, a whirlwind of white hair and rumpled tweed, clutching a suitcase and looking utterly bewildered. He fumbled in his pockets, then patted his chest, muttering, “Relativity…space-time…lost my ticket!”

A kindly conductor, spotting the professor’s distress, approached. “Having some trouble, sir?”

Einstein sighed. “Terribly sorry. I seem to have misplaced my train ticket. I know I bought one, but…” he trailed off, looking more like a perplexed child than the genius of the century.

The conductor recognized him instantly. “Professor Einstein! It’s quite alright, sir. I know who you are. Travel for free. No problem at all.”

Einstein perked up. “Are you certain? I wouldn’t want to…infringe upon the laws of your…railway universe.”

The conductor chuckled. “Absolutely. Just go and enjoy your trip.”

Einstein thanked him profusely and found a seat. The conductor continued his rounds, and later, on his return, saw Einstein meticulously searching under his seat.

“Professor, is something wrong?” he asked.

Einstein looked up, flustered. “Ah, yes. You see, I completely forgot where I was going!”
