Thighs: Sea Regrets at 75!

Imagine being 75 and you're sat thinking about your life and how you never went swimming in the sea on a warm night because your thighs jiggled. Imagine realizing you never laughed until you content image

Agnes, bless her soul, turned 75 last week and decided life was too short for sensible shoes. She bought a bright red, ridiculously sporty mobility scooter and promptly named it “Sea Regrets.” Her daughter, Brenda, was mortified.

“Mum,” Brenda wailed, “You’re going to attract attention! And not the good kind. Remember what happened with the flamingo lawn ornaments?” Agnes just winked and adjusted her oversized sunglasses. “Brenda darling, I’m living life! Thighs: Sea Regrets at 75! That’s my motto.”

The next day, Agnes decided to visit the local seaside pier. She zipped along the promenade, weaving expertly between strolling families and ice cream stalls. A young man, showing off to his girlfriend, revved his souped-up moped next to her.

“Race you to the end, Granny!” he shouted, grinning. Agnes, never one to back down from a challenge (especially one involving embarrassing teenagers), sized him up. “Alright, sonny. But if I win, you have to wear this!” she declared, pulling a sparkly, pink feather boa from her basket.

The race was on. Agnes, fueled by Werther’s Originals and sheer audacity, put Sea Regrets into overdrive. The scooter whirred and sputtered, leaving a trail of bewildered seagulls in its wake. She leaned into the turns, her pink boa trailing behind her like a flamboyant comet. The young man, initially confident, found himself struggling to keep up with the surprisingly nimble octogenarian.

Agnes crossed the finish line a clear winner, the feather boa held high in triumph. The teenager, defeated and blushing, sheepishly approached. “Okay, okay, you win. I’ll wear it.”

Agnes smiled sweetly. “Actually, dear,” she said, “I changed my mind. I think it would look much better on your moped.”
