Ingredients
- Salmon fillets: 6 oz each
- Lemon pepper seasoning: 1 teaspoon per fillet
- Garlic powder: 1/2 teaspoon per fillet
- Olive oil: 2 tablespoons
- Butter: 2 tablespoons, divided
- Fresh lemon slices: 2-3 slices per fillet
- Fresh parsley: 1 tablespoon, chopped (for garnish)
- White wine (optional): 1/4 cup
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- Step 2: Place the salmon fillets in the prepared baking dish, skin-side down. Drizzle olive oil evenly over the fillets.
- Step 3: Sprinkle each salmon fillet with lemon pepper seasoning and garlic powder.
- Step 4: Place 2-3 lemon slices on top of each fillet. Dot each fillet with small pieces of butter. If using white wine, pour it into the bottom of the baking dish.
- Step 5: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
- Step 6: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Store leftover cooked salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- For best results when reheating, gently warm the salmon in a low oven (around 275°F) with a splash of water to retain moisture.
- Serve this flavorful salmon with a side of roasted vegetables and creamy mashed potatoes for a complete and satisfying meal.
- To avoid overcooking, use a meat thermometer; the salmon is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
