Ingredients
- Rolled Oats: 1/2 cup
- Milk (dairy or non-dairy): 1 cup
- Peanut Butter: 2 tablespoons
- Chia Seeds: 1 tablespoon
- Maple Syrup: 1 tablespoon
- Vanilla Extract: 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt: Pinch
- Banana (sliced): 1/2 banana
Instructions
- Step 1: Combine rolled oats, milk, peanut butter, chia seeds, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt in a jar or container.
- Step 2: Stir well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined and the peanut butter is evenly distributed.
- Step 3: Cover the jar or container and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 4 hours.
- Step 4: In the morning, remove the oats from the refrigerator and stir. If the oats are too thick, add a splash more milk.
- Step 5: Top with sliced banana and any other desired toppings (such as more peanut butter, nuts, or chocolate chips).
Notes
- Store leftover overnight oats in the refrigerator for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
- If you prefer a warm breakfast, microwave the oats for 30-60 seconds, stirring halfway through, until heated through.
- Enjoy your peanut butter overnight oats straight from the jar for a quick and easy breakfast, or layer it with yogurt and granola in a parfait.
- For extra creamy oats, use slightly warmed peanut butter to make it easier to incorporate smoothly.
