Delicious peach pie cruffins recipe recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (13.8 oz) refrigerated pie crusts
  • 4 large ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Turbinado sugar (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a standard 12-cup muffin tin. Roll out one pie crust and use a 3-inch round cookie cutter or knife to cut out 12 circles. Gently press each circle into the muffin tin cups, creating a slight overhang.
  2. Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine sliced peaches, granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Toss gently to coat.
  3. Step 3: Divide the peach mixture evenly among the prepared cruffin cups. Dot each cup with small pieces of butter.
  4. Step 4: Roll out the second pie crust and cut out 12 more circles. Place one circle on top of each peach filling. Crimp the edges of the bottom and top crusts together to seal. Cut a small slit in the top of each cruffin to allow steam to escape.
  5. Step 5: Brush the tops of the cruffins with the beaten egg wash and sprinkle with turbinado sugar.
  6. Step 6: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly. Let cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Store leftover peach pie cruffins in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or freeze for longer storage.
  • For a warm, gooey treat, reheat individual cruffins in the microwave for 15-20 seconds, or bake them at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes.
  • Serve these delightful cruffins warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra special dessert.
  • To prevent soggy bottoms, ensure your peach mixture is well-drained before filling the cruffin cups; the flour helps absorb excess moisture.
