Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 oz Limoncello
- 3 oz Orange Juice
- 1.5 oz Prosecco or other sparkling wine
- 0.5 oz Grenadine
- 2 oz Cranberry Juice
- Orange slice, for garnish
- Maraschino cherry, for garnish (optional)
- Ice
Instructions
- Step 1: Fill a highball glass with ice.
- Step 2: Gently pour the grenadine into the glass. It will sink to the bottom.
- Step 3: Add the cranberry juice slowly over the back of a spoon to create a layered effect.
- Step 4: Add the orange juice, followed by the limoncello.
- Step 5: Top with Prosecco.
- Step 6: Garnish with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry (optional). Gently stir if desired, but the layered effect is visually appealing.
Notes
- For best flavor, chill all ingredients beforehand for a truly refreshing Limoncello Sunrise.
- This cocktail is best enjoyed immediately; reheating is not recommended as it will ruin the layered effect.
- Serve in a tall, slender glass to fully appreciate the beautiful color gradient and layered presentation.
- To prevent the layers from mixing too quickly, pour each liquid slowly and gently, ideally using the back of a spoon as instructed.
