Delicious garlic butter steak tips with cheesy rigatoni recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs sirloin steak tips, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 lb rigatoni pasta
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Season steak tips generously with salt, pepper, oregano. Melt 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak tips and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned on all sides and cooked to your desired doneness (about 5-7 minutes). Remove steak tips from skillet and set aside.
  2. Step 2: Add remaining 2 tbsp butter to the skillet. Add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic. Stir in chopped parsley.
  3. Step 3: Cook rigatoni according to package directions. Drain pasta, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  4. Step 4: Add cooked rigatoni to the skillet with the garlic butter. Stir in heavy cream and 1/2 cup of reserved pasta water. Cook until sauce slightly thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
  5. Step 5: Stir in mozzarella cheese until melted and creamy. Add the cooked steak tips to the pasta and toss to coat. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For reheating, add a splash of pasta water or cream to prevent the sauce from drying out.
  • Serve with a side of crusty bread to soak up the delicious garlic butter sauce.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan when browning the steak; cook in batches for optimal sear and even cooking.
