Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup milk (or more, as needed)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped peanuts (optional)
Instructions
- Step 1: In a medium bowl, combine peanut butter, powdered sugar, and oats. Mix well until thoroughly combined.
- Step 2: Stir in the milk, one tablespoon at a time, until the mixture reaches a consistency that allows you to easily roll it into balls. The dough should be slightly sticky but not overly wet.
- Step 3: Add the vanilla extract, chocolate chips, coconut (if using), and chopped peanuts (if using). Mix until evenly distributed.
- Step 4: Roll the mixture into small balls, approximately 1 inch in diameter. These are your "Moose Farts."
- Step 5: Place the finished "Moose Farts" on a plate or wax paper lined baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow them to firm up. Enjoy!
Notes
- Store these delightful treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week to maintain their freshness.
- For a slightly softer, gooier texture, let them sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before serving.
- Serve these Moose Farts as a fun and playful addition to a kids' party, or enjoy them as a satisfying after-school snack.
- If the mixture seems too dry, add milk a tablespoon at a time until you reach the desired consistency—remember, slightly sticky is key!
