- 1 (10 ounce) bag marshmallows
- 1/4 cup butter
- 5 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 cup dried cherries, chopped
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Add marshmallows and stir constantly until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat.
- Step 2: Stir in almond extract (if using) and salt. Add chopped dried cherries and mix well to combine.
- Step 3: Gently fold in Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.
- Step 4: Grease a 8×8 inch baking pan. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and press firmly and evenly into the pan using buttered spatula or wax paper.
- Step 5: Sprinkle white chocolate chips (if using) over the top. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
- Step 6: Once cool, cut into squares and serve.
