Ingredients
Scale
- 1 medium zucchini, sliced into 1/4 inch thick rounds
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Step 2: In a medium bowl, toss the zucchini slices with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) until evenly coated.
- Step 3: Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese evenly over each zucchini slice, pressing lightly to help it adhere.
- Step 4: Place the zucchini slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, being careful not to overcrowd them. You may need to cook in batches.
- Step 5: Air fry for 6-8 minutes, or until the zucchini is tender and the Parmesan cheese is golden brown and crispy.
- Step 6: Remove the crisps from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Store cooled crisps in an airtight container for up to 2 days, but know they'll lose some of their crispness.
- To revive slightly softened crisps, reheat them in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes until warmed through.
- These Parmesan zucchini crisps are delicious served alongside a simple marinara dipping sauce.
- For extra cheesy flavor, use finely grated Parmesan, and press it firmly onto the zucchini before air frying!
